Many years of dedication to microbial ecology  and environmental engineering research has been a transcending experience, which deepened my fascination for the complexity of the simple elegant microorganisms. That is why I want to have a deeper understanding of how microorganisms self-organize, how they interact, how we can benefit from microbial life strategies and what they can even tell us about ourselves.
